Our founder spent over 15 years as a certified nursing assistant. She was good at the work. What wore on her was what she couldn't fix — residents who needed someone to sit with them, walk with them, just be present. Left waiting. Not because nobody cared. Because the system was never built for that kind of time.
She already knew what that time looked like. As a child she walked her great grandmother to the bathroom, kept her company while the rest of the family ran errands, stayed close with no clipboard and no clock running. That kind of presence changed everything.
