WHEN DAILY TASKS GROW HARDER

The small things they used to do alone.

Bathing. Dressing. Getting safely from the bedroom to the kitchen. Brushing teeth. Buttoning a shirt. The hundred small movements that once happened without thinking become harder — slower — sometimes overwhelming. For your loved one, it can feel like a quiet loss of independence. For your family, it often means rearranging your own life trying to be everywhere at once.

Personal care is the non-medical, hands-on help we provide when those small tasks need a steady hand. Our caregivers are trained — through experience, not clinical certification — to assist with bathing, dressing, mobility, and the everyday personal routines your loved one deserves. Always with patience. Always with respect. Never rushed.

This is not medical care. We don't diagnose, treat, or manage anything clinical. What we do is just as important: the dignified, everyday help that lets your loved one stay safe, comfortable, and in their own home.

"Their dignity matters more than the task. We never forget that."

WHAT'S INCLUDED

Six ways our caregivers help — every visit, every day.

Every personal care plan is built around your loved one's needs, schedule, and preferences. These are the most common ways we help.

ONE

Assistance with bathing

Whether your loved one prefers a full shower, a sponge bath, or help bathing while seated, we provide safe, respectful assistance. We honor their preferences for privacy, water temperature, soap, and routine. The bathroom is the most vulnerable room in the house — we treat it that way.

TWO

Help with dressing and grooming

Selecting clothes, getting dressed and undressed, brushing hair, oral hygiene, applying lotion, the small grooming routines that help your loved one feel like themselves. We assist where needed, step back where they can do it alone, and never make it feel like supervision.

THREE

Mobility and steady support

Patient, careful help moving around the home — from the bedroom to the bathroom, from the chair to the kitchen table. Our caregivers know how to assist someone who's unsteady on their feet without making them feel watched. Confidence is part of the care.

FOUR

Discreet help with toileting

This is the kind of help families find hardest to provide themselves — and our caregivers handle it with warmth, patience, and zero awkwardness. Discreet, dignified, and matter-of-fact. We've made bathroom assistance feel ordinary for many families. We can do that for yours.

FIVE

Light personal hygiene

Hand washing, face care, oral hygiene, applying simple lotions or moisturizers, helping with nail filing — the small daily acts of self-care that often slip when energy drops. We help with the small things that add up to feeling clean and comfortable.

SIX

Medication reminders

Gentle reminders to take medications on time, as prescribed by their doctor. We bring the water glass and the friendly nudge. We do not administer medications, manage prescriptions, or make clinical judgments — that work belongs to your loved one's pharmacist and physician.

IS THIS THE RIGHT FIT

Personal Care is for loved ones who...

NEED DAILY HELP

With everyday tasks

Bathing, dressing, mobility, toileting, light hygiene — the daily things they used to handle alone are now harder. Personal Care fills that gap with patience and respect, never making the help feel like supervision.

ARE COGNITIVELY STABLE

But physically declining

Your loved one is still sharp, aware, and engaged with the world — but their body needs help in ways it didn't before. Personal Care preserves the independence they still have, while supporting where they need a steady hand.

WANT TO STAY HOME

Safely and comfortably

Home is where they feel most themselves — and where memories live. Personal Care makes staying home a real, safe option, even when daily tasks have become difficult. We bring the help to their door.

MEMORY CHANGES PART OF THE PICTURE?

Our Memory Support page might be the better starting place.

If your loved one is navigating Alzheimer's, dementia, or noticeable memory changes alongside their physical needs, our flagship Memory Support service is built for that exact combination — and the page goes deeper into how we approach it.

QUESTIONS FAMILIES ASK

What families want to know before they call.

If something below isn't covered, your free consultation is the best place to ask. There's no question too small or too personal.

No. SevynCare is a non-medical personal care and companion care agency. We help with daily routines — bathing, dressing, mobility support, light personal hygiene, meals, light housekeeping, and medication reminders — but we do not provide skilled nursing, wound care, injections, medication administration, or any service that requires a medical license in Alabama. If your loved one needs skilled medical care, your free consultation is a great place to talk through what type of provider would be a fit.

WHAT THIS LOOKS LIKE IN A HUNTSVILLE HOME

A typical morning visit on a quiet street in Madison.

The caregiver arrives at 8:30 on a Tuesday in a small brick ranch off Hughes Road. Coffee is already started; the bathroom heater has been turned on so the tiles aren't cold. She helps Mrs. P sit on the shower bench, hands her the washcloth she prefers to keep for her own face, and stays just outside the curtain. Afterward, the chosen blouse and slacks are laid out on the bed, hair is brushed the way she's worn it for fifty years, and the two of them walk together — slow, steady — out to the kitchen where the toast is waiting. By 10:15 the visit is over, the bathroom is dry and tidy, and the day has started the way it should.

Available to families in Huntsville, Madison, Meridianville, Harvest, and the surrounding Madison County area, 7 days a week.

QUESTIONS FAMILIES IN MADISON COUNTY ACTUALLY ASK

Yes. Most homes across Madison County have layouts that weren't designed with mobility in mind, and our caregivers are used to working in them. We arrive early on the first visit to walk through the bathroom with you, talk about the step, the grab bars (if any), and where your loved one feels most steady. We don't try to change the house — we adapt how we help to fit it.
